Verification Terms
Last updated: December 16, 2025
1. Verification Service Overview
By submitting an application for SalesMark Certification, you agree to these Verification Terms in addition to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. SalesMark provides third-party verification of sales performance data based on documentation you provide.
2. Required Documentation
To complete verification, you must provide:
- Compensation Documentation: Offer letter, compensation plan, or HR system screenshots showing base salary, OTE, quota, and commission rates
- Quota Evidence: Quota letter, CRM data, or quota assignment documentation (unless already included in compensation plan)
- Pay Evidence: W-2, commission statements, earnings summaries, pay stubs, or payroll portal screenshots
All documents must be legible, complete, and cover the performance period you're certifying.
3. Document Authenticity
You represent and warrant that:
- All documents submitted are authentic and unaltered
- You have the legal right to possess and share these documents
- Documents accurately reflect your actual compensation and performance
- You have not manipulated, edited, or falsified any documents
Submitting fraudulent documents will result in immediate rejection, account termination, and forfeiture of all fees. We reserve the right to report fraudulent activity to relevant authorities.
4. Verification Process
Our verification process includes:
- Document Review: Manual review by trained verification specialists with sales operations experience
- Cross-Validation: Comparison of data across multiple document types
- Fraud Detection: Analysis of document authenticity and consistency
- Performance Calculation: Verification of quota, revenue, attainment, and earnings
Typical review time is 3–5 business days. Complex applications may take longer.
5. Adjustments and Discrepancies
SalesMark may adjust your claimed performance based on evidence provided. Common adjustments include:
- Prorating quota for partial years or ramp periods
- Correcting calculation errors in attainment percentages
- Adjusting earnings to match documented pay evidence
- Clarifying metric types (ACV vs. ARR vs. bookings)
All adjustments will be documented in your verification notes. You will have an opportunity to provide additional context or documentation before final approval.
6. Reliability Levels
SalesMark assigns a reliability level to each certification:
- Level 1: Fully verified with strong, consistent evidence across all data points
- Level 2: Verified with minor assumptions or limited documentation in non-critical areas
- Level 3: Verified with notable corrections or significant assumptions
- Level 4: Insufficient evidence to verify (application rejected)
7. Approval and Rejection
Approval: Upon approval, you will receive:
- A unique SalesMark ID
- Access to your public certification profile
- A verified performance summary
- Digital certification badge
Rejection: Applications may be rejected if:
- Required documentation is missing or incomplete
- Documents appear fraudulent or altered
- Major discrepancies cannot be resolved
- You do not respond to requests for additional information
Application fees are non-refundable regardless of outcome.
8. Public Profile
Your approved certification includes a public profile showing:
- Your name, job title, and company
- Verified quota, revenue, and attainment
- Verified base salary and commission
- Performance period
- Reliability level
- Verification notes (sanitized)
You control who can access your profile and may request removal at any time (though certification status will be revoked).
9. Document Storage and Retention
Your documents are:
- Encrypted at rest and in transit
- Stored in secure cloud infrastructure
- Accessible only to authorized verification personnel
- Retained for a minimum of 24 months for fraud prevention
You may request document deletion after the certification period, subject to legal and fraud-prevention requirements.
10. Certification Validity
SalesMark certifications remain valid indefinitely for the specific performance period verified. However, we reserve the right to revoke certification if we discover fraud, misrepresentation, or violations of these terms.
11. Updates to Verification Terms
We may update these Verification Terms from time to time. Changes will not affect applications already in progress. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
